Why and Where to Use Non-Slip Flooring

Anti-slip flooring is a useful product for improving safety both indoors and outdoors and is frequently required in public buildings to comply with the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (DDA). Non-slip flooring prevents slips and trips, one of the most common reasons for workplace accidents. People with disabilities are more likely to slip or trip so installing safety flooring helps ensure DDA compliance and keep employees and visitors safe on your business premises or in public buildings.

Who Can Benefit From Anti-Slip Flooring?

Any building that receives a large amount of pedestrian traffic can benefit from non-slip flooring. This includes office buildings, warehouses and factories but also public buildings such as schools and hospitals. Anti-slip flooring can be useful across a wide range of surfaces both indoors and outdoors. Ideally, anywhere with an increased slip risk should have anti-slip flooring in place. Some of the most common trouble spots are stairs, ramps and bridges as well as other surfaces which are slippery or can get wet or icy. We have a wide range of solutions available which are suitable for retro-fitting to existing flooring.

Which Anti-Slip Flooring Is Right For You?

A wide range of safety flooring exists for a number of different purposes. Which one is the right choice for you depends on the environment you want to use it in.
